Bigod Castle
The ruins of the 11th Century Bigod Castle stand at the centre of
Bungay. The castle was originally owned by the Norman's, but was
later rebuilt by the evil and ruthless Bigod family.
Churches
The district has a wealth of churches with particularly fine examples
of round flint towers and thatched roofs. Many are open to the public
and all are worth visiting.
South Elmham Hall / Batemans Barn
Dates back to the 13th Centry and the Old Minister has been described
as "one of the most enigmatic and romantic ruins in England".
